Russia doubles missile carriers in Black Sea overnight

Russian troops increased the number of missile carriers in the Black Sea to two overnight.

The Head of the Joint Coordination Press Center of the Southern Defense Forces, Natalia Humeniuk, said this on the air of the United News telethon, Ukrinform reports.

"The enemy increased its number of missile carriers overnight. There are now two of them in the Black Sea - a surface frigate and a submarine," she said, pointing out that a total volley of Kalibr missiles can reach 12.

Humeniuk emphasized that a threat of a missile strike remains. According to her, the activity of Russian aviation is quite powerful, despite the fact that the invaders have been saving missiles lately.

"It is unlikely to be a massive missile strike... Although analysts and experts say that the Russians can gather forces to strike hard at the territory of Ukraine on the day before, for example, a counter-offensive and threaten citizens," added the Head of the Joint Coordination Press Center of the Southern Defense Forces.

As reported on Tuesday, Russia kept four of its ships on combat duty in the Black Sea, including one Kalibr cruise missile carrier with a total volley of up to four missiles.
