Air defense forces down 18 out of 23 enemy drones in Kyiv

Twenty-three unmanned aerial vehicles were spotted in the capital during the air alert this morning. Eighteen drones were destroyed.
"During the air alert, 23 enemy UAVs were spotted over the capital. Our defense forces destroyed 18 drones. There were no casualties. However, debris damaged the roadway in Solomyanskyi district, as well as the windows of an apartment block in Shevchenkivskyi district. Unfortunately, a critical infrastructure object was hit. Emergency services are eliminating the consequences," said Serhii Popko, Head of the Kyiv City Military Administration, the KCSA posted on Telegram.
As reported, on the night of December 19, the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, in cooperation with other units of the Defense Forces of Ukraine, destroyed 30 Iranian-made Shahed-136/131 kamikaze drones launched by the Russians.
