Russian forces attacked a gas station in the Zaporizhzhia district and then carried out a second strike while emergency crews were responding to the fire.
Ukraine's State Emergency Service reported this on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.
The post states that firefighters were extinguishing a burning liquefied gas tank when Russian forces launched a deliberate follow-up drone strike targeting rescue workers.
"A drone hit one of the fire trucks," the statement said.
Rescuers managed to take cover in time, and the fire was successfully extinguished. No casualties were reported.
On June 2, Russian forces carried out 948 strikes on 41 settlements in the Zaporizhzhia region, killing one person and injuring three others.
