The Security Service of Ukraine identified and detained another enemy fire spotter in the course of counter-subversive work in the liberated areas of eastern Ukraine.

The SBU reported this on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.

The intruder "directed" Russian missiles at military and strategically important facilities in Kharkiv region.

According to the probe, the accomplice of the invaders turned out to be a resident of Donetsk region, who had been recruited by the Russian proxy forces’ security agency at the onset of the full-scale invasion.

At the behest of the enemy, he moved to Kharkiv to gather information about the locations of units of Ukraine’s Defense Forces, military and other important critical infrastructure facilities. To this end, he would travel across the city, taking photos and videos of objects and marking their geolocation on electronic maps.

"He passed on the information he received through a liaison. He turned out to be a militant with the terrorist organization ‘DPR,’ which was part of the occupying force in the eastern direction," the statement reads.

For communication, a special Telegram channel was used, where transmission of intelligence was carried out via media files with a text description of the object.

During the raid at the detainee's residence, law enforcement officers found a mobile phone with evidence of correspondence with the occupiers.
