Ukraine’s Armed Forces hit two enemy air defense positions

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said this in its operational update posted on Facebook, Ukrinform reports.

According to data as of 18:00, November 16, the enemy continues shelling the positions of the Defense Forces and settlements located near the contact line.

During the day, the invaders launched two missile attacks and three airstrikes, more than 13 MLRS attacks. They launched a missile attack on a civil infrastructure object in Zaporizhzhia region.

According to the General Staff, in the Volyn and Polissia directions, the situation has not undergone significant change.

In the Slobozhanske direction, the Russian forces used artillery of various types to shell the areas of Strelecha, Hlyboke, Morokhovets, Ternova, Starytsia, Vovchansk, Bilyi Kolodyaz, Bochkove, Mala Vovcha, and Komisarove.

In the Kupiansk and Lyman directions, the invaders attacked the areas of Kyslivka, Berestove, Novoselivke, Stelmakhivka, Andriivka, Hrekivka, Makiivka, Nevske, and Terniv, using various types of artillery.

In the Bakhmut direction, the enemy shelled the areas of Spirne, Yakovlivka, Soledar, Bakhmutske, Bakhmut, Opytne, Zelenopillia, Kurdiumivka, and Ozarianivka, deploying tanks and the entire spectrum of artillery.

In the Avdiivka direction, Russian troops used tanks, mortars, barrel and jet artillery to attack the areas of Kamianka, Avdiivka, Pervomaiske, Nevelske, and Maryinka.

In the Novopavlivske direction, the invaders used various types of artillery in the areas of Vuhledar, Bohoiavlenka, Prechystivka, and Zolota Nyva.

In the Zaporizhzhia direction, the Russian troops shelled the districts of Novopil, Temyrivka, Olhivske, Malynivka, Huliaipole, Dorozhnianka, Zaliznychne, Bilohirya and Shcherbaky with mortars, barrel and rocket artillery.

In the Kherson direction, Nikopol and Chervonohryhorivka of Dnipropetrovsk region came under enemy attacks.  

During the day, aircraft of the Defense Forces of Ukraine struck the enemy twice, hitting two positions of enemy air defense systems.

Missile and artillery units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine struck two command posts, three clusters of enemy manpower, weapons and military equipment, as well as two ammunition depots.

As reported by Ukrinform, as of November 16, the losses of Russian troops in the full-scale war waged against Ukraine exceeded 82,700.
