Utility workers restore heating to all 2,600 buildings in Kyiv following February 12 attack
Kyiv Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko stated this on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.
"Heating has been restored to all 2,600 buildings that remained without heat due to the enemy attack on the capital's infrastructure on February 12," Klitschko said.
Utility workers continue to work on other buildings where system failures occur, repairing heating networks.
He also noted that over 1,100 buildings in the Dnipro and Darnytsky districts remain without heat from previous attacks. Heating cannot yet be restored in these buildings due to critical damage to the Darnytsia Combined Heat and Power Plant (CHP).
As previously reported, on the night of February 12, Russian forces targeted the left bank of Kyiv. Damage was recorded in two districts, and two civilians were injured.
The attack left a total of 2,600 multi-story buildings without heating. By the evening of February 15, heat supply had been restored to 2,100 of them.
The Darnytsia CHP suffered critical damage from a Russian strike on Kyiv on February 3. Restoring its systems and equipment is expected to take at least two months.
