86% of Ukrainians believe it is necessary to continue resistance to Russia despite Russian attacks on Ukrainian settlements, destroying infrastructure and killing civilians.

The relevant findings were released after a poll conducted by Kyiv International Institute of Sociology between October 21, 2022 and October 23, 2022, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

According to the poll results, 86% of respondents believe it is necessary to fight, even if Russian attacks continue. 71% of them completely agree with this opinion, and 16% rather agree.

Just 10% of respondents believe it is necessary to start talks in order to stop shelling as soon as possible, even if Ukraine has to make some concessions to Russia.

The Omnibus national public opinion poll was conducted by Kyiv International Institute of Sociology, using a CATI technique, based on a random sample of mobile telephone numbers. A total of 1,000 adult respondents, aged 18 or over, living across all regions of Ukraine (except the Autonomous Republic of Crimea) were interviewed. The sample did not include those living within the areas, which were not controlled by the Ukrainian authorities before February 24, 2022 (Crimea, Sevastopol, and the certain areas of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions), and those who left abroad after February 24, 2022.
