Ukraine’s aviation hits ten enemy clusters, three strongholds

Today, Ukraine’s aviation has hit three Russian strongholds and ten clusters of weapons and military equipment.

This is stated in the report of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 18:00 on October 21 published on Facebook.

"The enemy tries to hold the temporarily captured territories, focuses its efforts on restraining the actions of the Defense Forces in certain directions, does not give up trying to go on the offensive in Bakhmut and Avdiivka directions," the report reads.

During the day, the Ukrainian troops repelled Russian attacks near Ternova, Kharkiv region; Bilohorivka and Zolotarivka, Luhansk region; Lyman, Soledar, Ozarianivka, Odradivka, and Pervomayske, Donetsk region.

The enemy fires on the Ukrainian positions along the contact line, conducts aerial reconnaissance, continues to strike critical infrastructure and civilian houses in violation of international humanitarian law, laws and customs of war.

During the day, the invaders launched four missile strikes and 10 airstrikes, more than 30 MLRS attacks.

The areas of about eight settlements, including Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhia, and Novovoskresenske of Kherson region, were hit with Russian aviation and anti-aircraft guided missiles.

In Volyn direction, the situation remains unchanged.

In Siversky and Polissia directions, the enemy used mortars and tube artillery to shell the areas of Ukrainske and Hai settlements of Chernihiv region, as well as Pokrovka of Sumy region.

In Slobozhansky direction, the enemy fired tube and rocket artillery in the areas of Berestove, Strilecha, Dvorichna, and Chuhunivka settlements.

In Bakhmut direction, the enemy opened fire from tanks and artillery on the areas of Soledar, Bakhmut, Bilohorivka, Klishchiivka, and Opytne settlements.

In Avdiivka direction, tanks, mortars, tube and rocket artillery were fired in the areas of Vodiane, Prechystivka, Pervomaiske, and Velyka Novosilka settlements.

The enemy did not conduct active offensive operations in Novopavlivka and Zaporizhzhia directions. The strikes were launched near Vremivka, Zelenyi Hai, and Mala Tokmachka.

In Southern Buh direction, the enemy shelled military and civilian infrastructure. The settlements near the contact line, including Novovoskresenske, Myrne, Davydiv Brid, and Novohredneve, came under enemy fire.

"According to the available information, the occupation authorities have ceased their activities in Beryslav town of Kherson region since October 19. It is also known that collaborators who cooperated with the Russian occupiers continue to leave the town along with their families and property," the General Staff reports.

In the temporarily captured territory of Luhansk region, the enemy takes measures to improve television and radio broadcasting.

The General Staff confirmed that the Defense Forces of Ukraine had hit a pontoon crossing under the Antonivka Bridge in Kherson region on October 19.

Ukraine’s aviation launched 16 strikes during the day, hitting three enemy strongholds and ten weapons and military equipment clusters, as well as three air defense positions.

The missile and artillery troops struck a Russian command post and S-300 missile system.
