About 45% of the Donetsk region remains under Ukraine's control.

According to the Telegram channel of the Donetsk regional military administration, the head of the administration, Pavlo Kyrylenko, told this to the independent Belarusian TV channel Belsat, commenting on the situation in the region, Ukrinform reports.

"The enemy's offensive operations are not successful. [...] The enemy is still attempting to carry out offensive operations in the main key directions, including Bakhmut and Avdiivka. This is where the enemy has been advancing for many weeks, postponing, as they say, the deadlines for reaching the administrative borders of the Donetsk region. However, their actions are not successful," Kyrylenko said.

According to him, in the Donetsk region, the Ukrainian authorities currently control about 45% of the territory. And this territory is constantly being shelled by invaders, and unfortunately, this leads to an increase in civilian casualties.

"The enemy has no success at the front despite numerous offensive operations. But the shelling of the region, public infrastructure, as well as populated settlements along the front line and across the region, in fact, continues every day. The results of shelling are, unfortunately, civilians killed and wounded every day. And we record such facts, unfortunately, every day," Kyrylenko said.
