Ukraine’s Armed Forces again strike Antonivka Bridge

Ukrinform
On the morning of August 25, the Ukrainian forces launched new strikes on the Antonivka (Antonivskyi) Bridge, which connects Kherson city with the left bank of the Dnipro River, in particular with Oleshkiv and Hola Prystan.

According to Ukrinform, a spokesperson for the Operational Command South, Natalia Humeniuk, told Hromadske.

According to her, artillery was used for the shelling.

"The Armed Forces did everything to prevent the occupiers from using the bridge to transport heavy equipment and ammunition," Humeniuk said.

At the moment, the results of the strike are still being specified, but the Command already has information that the occupiers can neither use it nor repair it.

"Repair crews have been evacuated, realizing that fire does not stop," the spokeswoman added.

As reported, on August 22, Serhii Khlan, a deputy of the Kherson Regional Council, informed that the Armed Forces of Ukraine launched strikes on the Antonivka Bridge again.

On August 23, it became known that after the Antonivka Bridge was significantly damaged, Russian invaders began to build a pontoon crossing nearby.
