In Ukraine’s Donetsk region, Russian aggressors shelled a residential area where France 24’s journalists were filming a report.

That’s according to the State Service for Emergency Situations, Ukrinform reports.

"The report by France 24 journalists on the work of Ukrainian rescuers in Donetsk region was interrupted by Russian shelling. Local residents who came out to get drinking water brought by emergency workers, our men, and French journalists came under fire," the statement says.

The agency stressed that the journalists did not cut out from their report the piece showing the actual shelling.

"So you can see the conditions under which our rescuers in Donetsk region are forced to work every day," the statement added.

As Ukrinform reported earlier, nine people were killed and 25 were injured in Russian strikes across Donetsk region in the past day alone.
