Ukraine allocates UAH 400M to restore critical infrastructure in Kharkiv, Chernihiv regions

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has allocated an additional 400 million hryvnias to restore the critical infrastructure in the Kharkiv and Chernihiv regions.

Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal reported this on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.

"The government is sending an additional UAH 400 million to restore the critical infrastructure of our country. Today we made a respective decision," Shmyhal said.

He noted that UAH 250 million will be allocated to the Kharkiv region to eliminate the consequences of hostilities and restore the critical infrastructure damaged by the shelling.

According to Shmyhal, another UAH 150 million will be allocated to the Chernihiv region to fully restore water supply in Chernihiv. "The funds will go to Chernihivvodokanal [water supply company] for the reconstruction of a pumping station and transformer substations," he said.

Shmyhal noted that the government has already allocated a total of UAH 1.4 billion for the reconstruction and reconstruction of five regions.

"Water, electricity and gas have reappeared in hundreds of thousands of homes. Dozens of roads and bridges have been restored. Hundreds of kilometers of territory have been cleared of mines. After our final victory, we will not just rebuild everything that the enemy destroyed, but we will make it even better," he said.
