Ukrainian police officers expose 85 subversive groups, detain 659 individuals since Russian invasion

Ukraine's Interior Minister Denys Monastyrsky reported this on his Facebook page.

"Anti-sabotage groups of the National Police have exposed 85 sabotage and reconnaissance groups and detained 659 people," he wrote.

Monastyrsky said police investigators had launched about 8,000 criminal proceedings against crimes committed by Russian and Belarusian troops in Ukraine.

Currently, he added, 54,000 police officers are on duty in the areas of active hostilities in Ukraine.

On February 24, Russian troops launched a full-scale invasion of Ukraine. They have been shelling and destroying critical infrastructure and residential areas of Ukrainian cities, towns and villages using artillery, multiple rocket launchers, ballistic missiles and air bombs.

Martial law was imposed in Ukraine and general mobilization was announced.
