2,557 people evacuated today, including 289 from Mariupol – Vereshchuk

On April 14, 2022, a total of 2,557 people were evacuated via humanitarian corridors.

The relevant statement was made by Ukrainian Deputy Prime Minister, Temporary Occupied Territories Reintegration Minister Iryna Vereshchuk, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“A total of 2,557 people have been evacuated today,” Vereshchuk said.

In her words, a total of 2,332 people got to Zaporizhzhia from Mariupol and Berdiansk by car. 289 people came from the city of Mariupol and 2,043 people – from Zaporizhzhia Region (Polohiv, Vasylivka, Berdiansk and Melitopol).

According to Vereshchuk, a total of 252 people were evacuated from Luhansk Region (Lysychansk, Sievierodonetsk, Rubizhne, Kreminna and Popasna).

“The [Russian] occupation troops again did not ensure the ceasefire regime,” Vereshchuk stressed.

A reminder that nine humanitarian corridors were approved for April 14, 2022.
