Prince Harry, Megan Markle support Ukraine against background of Russian aggression

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle supported the Ukrainian people after Russian troops invaded the country.

“Prince Harry and Meghan, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex and all of us at Archewell [Foundation] stand with the people of Ukraine against this breach of international and humanitarian law [by Russia],” reads their joint statement.

The couple encouraged the global community and its leaders to do the same

As reported, on February 24, Russian president Vladimir Putin declared war on Ukraine and launched a large-scale invasion. Missile strikes were launched on a number of Ukrainian cities, and military facilities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were attacked.

According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, more than 60 battalion tactical groups of Russian troops have been deployed in the territory of Ukraine. The main purpose of their operation is to block Kyiv and create a land corridor to Crimea.

President Volodymyr Zelensky announced a general mobilization in Ukraine.

On Friday morning, February 25, enemy aircraft was shot down by the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the immediate vicinity of Kyiv.
