Svitolina drops to eighth spot in WTA ranking

Ukraine’s No.1 tennis player Elina Svitolina has dropped one position to the eighth spot in the ranking of the Women's Tennis Association (WTA) updated on June 24.

WTA ranking is headed for the first time by Ashleigh Barty from Australia (6,540), while Naomi Osaka from Japan turned out to be the second (6,377). They are followed by Karolina Pliskova (5,685) and Petra Kvitova (4,555) from the Czech Republic (4,555), Kiki Bertens from the Netherlands (5,425), and Angelique Kerber from Germany (4,685).

Elina Svitolina ranks eighth with 3,868 points, Ukrinform reports.

In the WTA ranking, Ukraine’s Lesya Tsurenko (1,587) dropped one position to the 33rd spot, Dayana Yastremska (1,504) also fell one position to the 36th spot. Kateryna Kozlova (840) retained the 67th spot.
