Ukraine's junior team wins 11 medals at Poznan Junior European Cup 2026

The Poznan Junior European Cup 2026, an international junior judo tournament, has concluded in Poznan, Poland.

Ukraine's national team finished second overall, winning 11 medals – 2 gold, 3 silver, and 6 bronze, Ukrinform reports.

Gold medals were claimed by Taras Nielziev (under 81 kg) and Ivan Harmash (under 100 kg).

Silver medalists are Oleksandr Martynchuk (under 66 kg), Vladyslav Lysenko (under 73 kg), and Kyrylo Perevertailo (under 90 kg).

Bronze medals were won by Illia Nazarenko and Kyrylo Kravchenko (both under 73 kg), Serhii Sokyrko (under 90 kg), Yaroslav Omelchenko (over 100 kg), as well as Kristina Opanasenko (under 63 kg) and Kira Titovets (under 78 kg).

Poland topped the medal standings with 18 medals (6 gold, 3 silver, 9 bronze).

In total, more than 250 athletes from 21 countries took part in the competition.

Ukraine was represented by 38 judokas – 24 men and 14 women.
