Svitolina retains fifth position in WTA ranking

Ukraine’s No.1 tennis player Elina Svitolina has retained the fifth spot in the ranking of the Women's Tennis Association (WTA) updated on October 8.
The WTA ranking is headed by Simona Halep from Romania (7,421), Caroline Wozniacki from Denmark (6,490), Angelique Kerber from Germany (5,400), Naomi Osaka from Japan (4,770). Elina Svitolina ranks fifth with 4,350 points.
Lesya Tsurenko from Kyiv retained the 27th position in the top 100 women’s tennis players, Ukrinform reports.
