President Yanukovych condoles over death of UNR's last president Mykola Plaviuk

. President Viktor Yanukovych has expressed his condolences over the death of a prominent politician and public figure, the last President of the Ukrainian People's Republic (UNR) in exile, Mykola Plaviuk, reads a statement posted on the president's official website.

"I deeply mourn the heavy loss to Ukraine - the death of Mykola Plaviuk, a known political and public figure, the last President of the Ukrainian People's Republic in exile. May his memory be eternal!," says the message of condolence.

As reported, Mykola Plaviuk, the fifth President of the Ukrainian People's Republic in exile, chairman of the Ukrainian Nationalists, passed away in Hamilton, Canada, on March 10, 2012.
