Hot water supply restricted in some Kyiv buildings to restore heating — Kyiv City Military Administration
This was reported by the Kyiv City Military Administration on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.
"As a result of several massive enemy attacks, the city is operating in difficult energy conditions and is taking all possible emergency measures. The hot water supply has been temporarily restricted in some residential buildings to restore centralized heating. The freed-up thermal power is being directed toward restoring the heat supply. After all, it is technically tough to restart the system at low air temperatures. This is especially relevant in conditions where the system has to be restarted not for the first time, but for the third time, as is the case in part of the housing stock in the Desnianskyi district," the statement said.
The Kyiv City Military Administration emphasizes that the restriction on hot water supply applies only to buildings where it is technically necessary to restore heat supply.
It is noted that this is a necessary and temporary measure to eliminate the consequences of enemy attacks, restore heat in homes, and further stabilize the power system.
Earlier, the media reported that the Darnytskyi district of Kyiv was considering temporarily turning off hot water.
As reported, 926 buildings in Kyiv remain without heating.
