Limited-mobility residents of Kyiv’s Desnianskyi district relocated to care facilities due to lack of heating
According to Ukrinform, this was reported on Facebook by Maksym Bakhmatov, Head of the Desnianskyi District State Administration in Kyiv.
“Efforts to eliminate the consequences of the emergency caused by the enemy attack on January 24 are ongoing in the Desnianskyi district,” Bakhmatov noted.
He emphasized that particular attention is currently being paid to single residents with limited mobility who are unable to care for themselves.

The Desnianskyi District State Administration has begun to relocate these categories of citizens to facilities equipped with alternative power sources and heating.
According to Bakhmatov, 11 people in this category have so far agreed to temporary relocation.
On Sunday, January 25, the first group of limited-mobility residents were received by the Kyiv Geriatric Boarding House and the Kyiv Boarding House for Labor Veterans, which will provide emergency crisis social services in the form of supported living.
Bakhmatov expressed gratitude for assistance in rescuing limited-mobility residents of the district to the Ministry of Social Policy of Ukraine, Deputy Head of the Kyiv City State Administration Maryna Khonda, and the Department of Social and Veteran Policy of the Kyiv City State Administration.
As reported by Ukrinform, as a result of the Russian attack on the night of January 24, more than 800,000 consumers in Kyiv were left without electricity, and water supply disruptions occurred on the left bank and in parts of the right bank of the city.
As of the morning of Sunday, January 25, 1,676 high-rise buildings in Kyiv remained without heating. According to Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko, heating was restored overnight in more than 1,600 buildings.
