More than thousand buildings remain without heating in Kyiv — Klychko
According to Ukrinform, Kyiv Mayor Vitaliy Klychko reported this on Telegram.
He stated that, as a result of the damage to the city's infrastructure following the latest massive enemy attack, 6,000 high-rise buildings were left without heat.
“More than a thousand buildings in the capital remain without heating. Heat supply has been restored to the rest of the area. Water supply, which had been interrupted in some areas, has been restored to all residents,” Klychko wrote.
Restoration work is ongoing, with utility and energy services working around the clock. Despite this, the mayor noted that the energy supply situation in the capital remains difficult, as the operation of heat supply and water supply companies depends on electricity.
According to forecasts, severe frosts are expected to continue in the coming days, so the difficult situation with heat supply in the capital will persist. All city services are doing everything possible to provide Kyiv residents with the necessary services.
As reported, energy workers in the Kyiv region have been dealing with the effects of severe weather, complicated by Russian shelling, for the third consecutive day. During this time, they have managed to restore power to 370,000 households.
