“Good news resulting from the recently observed improvement in bilateral relations between Ukraine and Poland. After many years of efforts, St. Nicholas Church in the center of Kyiv has been officially handed over for use by the Roman Catholic parish. This is a tangible effect of the recent talks between President K. Nawrocki and President V. Zelensky. Another step in the right direction,” Przydacz wrote.
As reported by Ukrinform, Ukraine’s Ministry of Culture has handed over St. Nicholas Roman Catholic Church in Kyiv for free use to the religious community of the Parish of St. Nicholas of the Roman Catholic Church. The church will be used for holding worship services, religious rites, ceremonies, prayers, religious gatherings, and religious education.
The religious community undertakes to ensure proper technical and sanitary conditions of the building, insure the property, pay utility and maintenance costs, and comply with legislation on the protection of cultural heritage. The term of use is set at 50 years.
