Patriarch Bartholomew and Metropolitan Epiphanius to concelebrate Epiphany Liturgy
The Orthodox Church of Ukraine (OCU) announced this, noting that Metropolitan Epiphanius will visit the Ecumenical Patriarchate on the occasion of the 7th anniversary of the granting of the Tomos, Ukrinform reports.
“On the Feast of Epiphany, January 6, 2026, Metropolitan Epiphanius and members of the delegation will concelebrate with Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew during the Divine Liturgy at the Patriarchal Church of St. George at the Phanar (Istanbul, Türkiye) and will take part in the Great Blessing of Waters,” the statement said.
As previously reported by Ukrinform, Metropolitan Epiphanius, Metropolitan of Kyiv and All Ukraine, said that 99% of OCU communities already celebrate Christmas according to the revised calendar.
The Orthodox Church of Ukraine and the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church switched to the Revised Julian calendar in September 2023.
