International partners have provided 13 vehicles to the National Police of Ukraine for use by community police officers (CPOs) in frontline regions.

The National Police Communications Department reported this on Facebook, Ukrinform saw.

“On December 1, with the support of the Partnership for a Strong Ukraine program, the National Police of Ukraine received 13 Renault service vehicles for the work of community police officers (CPOs) in Zaporizhzhia, Sumy, Kherson, and Kharkiv regions,” the police stated.

According to Oleksandr Fatsevych, Deputy Head of the National Police, the transfer of these vehicles is the result of close cooperation between the National Police of Ukraine and the Partnership for a Strong Ukraine program.

The NPU noted that the new vehicles will enable community policing units to respond quickly to calls, maintain a constant police presence in frontline communities, and support evacuation measures and assistance to civilians in areas of active hostilities.

“Thanks to support from international partners, we are delivering these vehicles specifically to the regions where intense fighting continues and where the population needs police assistance for effective response, evacuation, and saving lives,” he said.

Fatsevych emphasized that the work of community police officers is a significant contribution to the development and security of local communities. “Our CPOs today are helping people in areas close to the hostilities. I extend words of gratitude from the Head of the National Police,” Fatsevych said, addressing the officers.
