Fuel shortage hits occupied Crimea — media reports

Ukrinform
All grades of gasoline have reportedly disappeared from gas stations across temporarily occupied Crimea.

According to the online outlet Crimea.Realities, as cited by Ukrinform, even the premium A100 grade is no longer available.

A human rights activist from the #LiberateCrimea campaign, speaking anonymously, said the fuel situation has worsened over the past ten days and has now reached a critical point. Many stations are closing, and the fuel collapse is affecting both residents and businesses. Traffic volume has noticeably decreased.

“Taxi wait times are long, and they’re struggling with fuel too. A taxi driver I know said their company has seen a surge in battery recharge requests, as many cars are sitting idle due to the lack of gasoline,” the activist noted.

As previously reported by Ukrinform, Ukrainian drone strikes on Russian oil refineries have pushed fuel exports to their lowest level since 2020, impacting one of the Kremlin’s key revenue sources.
