First Lady of Ukraine Olena Zelenska has announced the launch of a global campaign, Every Generation Leaves a Mark, Education Determines Which One, aimed at supporting education.

She made the announcement during the Fifth Summit of First Ladies and Gentlemen, held in Kyiv, a Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“We are leaving this summit inspired and ready to act. And the first step, right here and now, is the launch of a global campaign to support education, Every Generation Leaves a Mark, Education Determines Which One, which I want to announce on behalf of myself and together with my colleagues, the first ladies,” Zelenska said.

She emphasized that high-quality modern education includes not only academic knowledge and skills but also emotional intelligence, humanism, and an open worldview.

“Perhaps in the past these concepts were kept separate, but today’s reality proves that for humanity to survive, education and the best human qualities must grow side by side,” she noted.

The First Lady emphasized that during the summit, all guests gained unique experiences and heard valuable ideas, stressing that this year’s choice of theme was the right one.

Zelenska also expressed gratitude to the participating First Ladies and Gentleman, as well as to experts and teachers.

“It is a great honor that so many of you spent these two days with us. Thank you for being there for your students and for us. If anything gives humanity hope, it is your work,” she said.
