The Russian occupation authorities are planning to force the residents of Kherson region to vote in pseudo-elections scheduled to start on September 2. For this purpose, the so-called "electoral headquarters" were instructed to poll local residents in the temporarily occupied territories.

That’s according to the Yellow Ribbon resistance movement, Ukrinform reports.

"The occupiers plan to force residents of Kherson region to vote in pseudo-elections from September 2!" the group wrote on Telegram.

As noted, the Yellow Ribbon activists learned that the so-called election headquarters received instructions to go door to door in the temporarily occupied areas of Kherson region in order to exert pressure on the locals, telling them to go to the polls.

The Yellow Ribbon urged residents to not open the doors to representatives of the "election headquarters" and to avoid participation in pseudo-elections.

As Ukrinform reported earlier, the invaders plan to hold "local elections" in the temporarily captured territory of Kherson region as early as this fall.

The Kherson Regional Council warned those aiding and abetting the enemy of their liability for participating in the organization of the so-called "elections" on the territory seized by the Russians.

Despite the intense pressure and forced handover of Russian passports to the residents of the temporarily occupied communities in Kherson region, the results of these actions still remain unsatisfactory for the Russians.

The local population is "allowed" to attend the "elections" that the occupation authorities are going to hold in September if they produce a Ukrainian passport and even a Ukrainian driver's license.

Although the population was intimidated into participation in the so-called United Russia primaries, a only a small number of people voted in the spectacle so the images for propaganda media was created mainly by enemy accomplices and their families.

It should be recalled that in the fall of 2022, the Armed Forces of Ukraine liberated the right bank of the Dnipro in Kherson region, including the city of Kherson. Part of the region, located on the left bank of the Dnipro, is temporarily occupied by Russian troops.
