Ukrainian sets himself on fire outside Consulate General in Krakow - MFA

A Ukrainian who lived in Poland made a self-immolation effort outside the Consulate General of Ukraine in Krakow. He is now in critical condition.

That's according to the spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, who spoke with Ukrinform.

"This morning, a Ukrainian who lived in Poland set himself on fire outside the building of the Consulate General of Ukraine in Krakow. The citizen was taken to the hospital in serious condition. Doctors are now providing him with urgent medical care. The condition of the Ukrainian man is critical," he said.

Nikolenko informed that the Consulate General cooperated with Polish law enforcers who had launched an investigation to determine the tragedy's cause and circumstances. Consuls are in contact with the man's family.
