President Zelensky meets with philanthropist Laurene Powell Jobs

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has held a meeting with American entrepreneur and philanthropist Laurene Powell Jobs. The parties discussed the importance of preserving global unity around supporting Ukraine.

The relevant statement was made by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on Telegram, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“We discussed the importance of preserving global unity around supporting Ukraine. I spoke about the Diia portal of public services and the special tax regime for IT companies called Diia.City,” the President of Ukraine wrote.

According to Zelensky, Ukraine will continue to develop the digital industry, which has proven its resilience and efficiency during the war.

The Head of State expressed hope that, after the war, the IT industry will help to develop entrepreneurship faster, eradicate corruption and simplify interaction between citizens and government institutions.

A reminder that Laurene Powell Jobs is an American billionaire businesswoman and executive. She is the founder and chair of Emerson Collective. In addition, Laurene Powell Jobs is the widow of Steve Jobs, co-founder and former CEO of Apple Inc.
