"To date, more than 500 people from the temporarily occupied [territory] of Zaporizhzhia region are in captivity... There are nearly 50 officials, employees of local self-government bodies among them," Melitopol Mayor Ivan Fedorov said at a briefing at the Media Center Ukraine – Ukrinform.
According to Fedorov, the invaders are now massively transporting prisoners from one place to another. If earlier prisoners were held near Vasylivka, now they are taken to Melitopol and occupied Crimea.
At the same time, the register of prisoners grows every day, Fedorov noted.
As reported, Dniprorudne Mayor Yevhen Matveyev has been in captivity for a year.
