War update: Ukraine Army pushes Russian forces back in Kharkiv, Sloviansk, Avdiyivka directions

The Armed Forces of Ukraine have forced the enemy to retreat in Kharkiv, Sloviansk, Avdiyivka directions, inflicting losses on Russian troops in the latter two.

That’s according to an operational update as of 18:00 Kyiv time, released by the General Staff, Ukrinform reports.

The enemy continues to focus on establishing full control over the territory of Donetsk region and holding gained ground in Kherson and parts of Kharkiv, Zaporizhia, and Mykolaiv regions.

Aviation and missile strikes are continuing, targeting civilian infrastructure across Ukraine.

In Volyn and Polissya directions, the situation saw no significant changes.

In the Siversky direction, the enemy is keepign individual units of the Western Military District in the Border districts of Bryansk and Kursk regions. In order to hinder the actions of the Ukrainian defense units, the enemy fired at Hremyach, Chernihiv region, and Nova Sloboda, Novovasylivka, Iskrykivshchyna, and Turia of Sumy region. Air reconnaissance UAVs were active in the border areas.

In the Kharkiv direction, the enemy tanks, barrel and jet artillery opened fire on Kharkiv, Pravdyanka, Protopopivka, Pryshyb, Chepil, Zamulivka, Ruski  Tyshky, Bayrak, Petrivka, Mospanove and Velyki Prohody. Russian aviation launched strikes near Rubizhne, also maintaining highly intensive air reconnaissance activity.

The Russians attempted to improve their tactical position near Svitlychne, with no success, being forced to retreat.

In the Sloviansk direction, enemy strikes were reported near Dovhenke, Dolyna, Dibrivne, Velyka Komyshuvacha, and Karnukhivka.

The adversary tried to penetrate Ukraine’s defenses with assault efforts in the Bohorodychne area, suffering losses and being forced to move back to the initial positions.

In the Kramatorsk direction, the enemy was firing off near Sloviansk, Verkhnyokamyanske, and Spirne. Aviation strikes were reported near Hryhorivka.

In the Bakhmut direction, the Russians fired at civilian infrastructure in the areas of Bakhmut, Vesela Dolyna, Soledar, Mayorsk, and Rozdolivka. The enemy's aviation strikes were affected near the Kodema and Yakovlivka districts. Ukraine's defense repulsed a number of Russian assaults near Vesela Dolyna.

In the Avdiyivka direction, enemy tanks, barrel and jet artillery fired at the areas of Nevelske, Opytne, Orlovka, Novo-oleksandrivka, New York, Krasnohorivka, and Pervomaiske. An unsuccessful assault attempt was made in the area of ​​Pervomaiske, where the Russians suffered losses, being forced to retreat.

In the Novopavlivka direction, the enemy continued shelling the areas near Vyhledar, Bohoyavlenka, Velyka Novosilka. and Novomykhailivka, as well as tried to improve their tactical position near Pavlivka, with no success.

In the Zaporizhia direction, the Russians opened fire, employing tanks, as well as barrel and jet artillery, toward Hulyaypole, Hulyaypilske, Kamianske, Burlatske, Vremivka, and Chervone. Air strikes were launched near Poltavka.

In the South Buh direction, the enemy shelled the areas of Mykolaiv, Lupartevo, Stepova Dolyna, Posad-Pokrovske, Shyroke, Partyzanske, Kyselivka, Velyke Artakove, Andriyivka, Olhyne, Knyazivka, Topolyne, Myrne, Kvitneve, Veselyi Kut, and Lozove.  Aviation strikes were launched at the areas near Andriyivka and Oleksandrivka. Russian UAVs were spotted flying reconnaissance missions.

In the waters of the Black Sea and the Sea of Azov, the situation saw no significant changes.

Ukraine’s missile and artillery units continue to inflict fire damage on enemy manpower and equipment clusters. In certain areas, the invasion forces are suffering significant losses.
