Over 70,000 Ukrainians get COVID-19 jabs in past day, Feb 9

A total of 70,678 Ukrainians were vaccinated against the coronavirus across the country on Wednesday.

That’s according to the Ministry of Health, Ukrinform reports.

It is noted that 21,367 people received their first dose, while the second shot was administered to 29,487. Also, 596 received an additional dose, and 19,228 – a booster jab.

Since the launch of the inoculation campaign, 1,520,587 people have been vaccinated in Ukraine, of whom 1,520,585 received the first dose, 14,869,937 received two, 22,159 got an additional dose, and 512,531 were administered a booster.

A total of 30,925,212 vaccinations have been performed.

As Ukrinform reported earlier, on February 9, Ukraine’s health officials confirmed 41,694 new daily cases across the country (including 3,486 involving children and 1,101 – medics).
