Next COVID-19 wave may come to Ukraine in early February

The situation with the spread of COVID-19 in Ukraine is currently under control. The next wave is expected in early February.

"As of today, the situation [with the spread of COVID-19] is under control. The ongoing fourth wave declines now, we are following it. We expect the next wave to start on February 10-15. It all depends on vaccination pace," Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Oleksiy Danilov said at a briefing following a working trip to Ivano-Frankivsk region, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

As reported, 6,363 new COVID-19 cases,  2,241 COVID-19-related hospitalization, 301 deaths, and 19,494 recoveries were detected in Ukraine over the past day.
