Government approves strategy for hydrometeorology development until 2030

The relevant resolution was approved at a government meeting on Wednesday, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

"The draft resolution defines a set of goals, objectives, measures and stages of hydrometeorology development in Ukraine for the period up to 2030, as well as mechanisms to ensure effective solutions to problems in the field of hydrometeorology," reads an explanatory note.

According to the document, the strategy aims to increase the efficiency of hydrometeorology, develop regional climate models taking into account global climate change, recommendations on the expected consequences, vulnerabilities and risks associated with this change in the short, medium and long term for major social and economic sectors.
