Quarantine in Ukraine may be extended after Aug 31 – Health Ministry

Quarantine restrictions in Ukraine may be extended, according to Deputy Minister of Health - Chief State Sanitary Doctor of Ukraine Ihor Kuzin.

"Regarding the extension of quarantine, it will most likely be extended, because we understand that quarantine is associated with quite a lot of organizational measures, including those that we have in the system of civil protection of the population. Therefore, it will be extended," Kuzin said on the air of the Snidanok with 1+1 TV show on Friday, Ukrinform reports.

The current quarantine restrictions are in effect until August 31.

As Ukrinform reported, 962 new COVID-19 cases were reported in Ukraine over the past 24 hours, on July 29.
