116,000 foreigners have visited Kyiv starting this year

"Despite all the obstacles caused by the pandemic, foreign tourists still visit Kyiv. This year, most tourists, according to the State Border Guard Service, arrived in the capital from Belarus: 10,500 people. Also, 8,900 people came from Israel and 8,300 arrived from Turkey," said Deputy Chair of the Kyiv City State Administration Maryna Khonda, the Kyiv City State Administration posted on Facebook.

Many travelers also came to Kyiv from the United States, India, Germany, Great Britain, France and Georgia. In addition, according to preliminary estimates, 300,000 domestic tourists visited the capital.

 "As of the beginning of May, tourist tax amounts to 11 million 670 thousand UAH," reads the statement.
