COVID-19 mortality rate in Ukraine is 2.3 percent

COVID-19 mortality rate in Ukraine is 2.3 percent, Center for Public Health of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine posted on Facebook.

"COVID-19 mortality rate in the country is 2.3%. The highest rate was recorded in Kirovohrad (5.4%), Cherkasy (3.6%), and Zakarpattia (3.8%) regions," reads the statement.

In total, 35,676 active COVID-19 cases have been confirmed in Ukraine as of August 10.

The biggest number of active patients per 100,000 population has been registered in Lviv (308.8), Ivano-Frankivsk (251.8), and Zakarpattia (246) regions.

Currently, 5,255 people undergo inpatient treatment, 127 of them receive lung ventilation.

As of August 10, Ukraine has reported 81,957 laboratory-confirmed COVID-19 cases, including 1,008 new cases over the past 24 hours.

Overall, Ukraine has confirmed 1,922 deaths related to the disease and 44,359 recoveries since the start of the pandemic.
