Health Ministry sends 316 Ukrainian patients for treatment abroad

Since the beginning of 2020, a special commission of the Health Ministry has approved a decision to finance treatment abroad for 316 Ukrainian citizens.

Deputy Health Minister Iryna Mykychak stated this at a briefing on May 29, an Ukrinform correspondent reported.

"In total, since the beginning of 2020, the Health Ministry’s commission on receiving treatment abroad has decided to provide financing for 316 citizens for highly specialized medical care outside Ukraine," she said.

Mykychak explains that citizens with some pathologies that are not yet treated in Ukraine, namely oncohematological diseases, neurosurgery, cardiac surgery, are sent abroad for treatment.
