Speaker of the South Australian Parliament Michael Atkins chaired the session wearing a vyshyvanka Ukrainian national embroidered shirt.

This is reported by an Ukrinform own correspondent with reference to Chairman of the Australian Federation of Ukrainian Organisations Stefan Romaniw.

"I am wearing the vyshyvanka, the national shirt of Ukraine, because it is three years since the Russian army invaded Ukraine. People die in Donetsk and Luhansk every day, and it should not be forgotten," Michael Atkins commented.

Representatives of the Ukrainian community praise the positive attitude of the politician towards Ukraine, regular support for the initiatives of the Ukrainian community of the state, repeated participation in the activities of the Association of Ukrainians in South Australia, especially at the time when the politician was the minister of multiculturalism of the state.
