Coordination with partners to end war: Zelensky holds conversation with UK Prime Minister Starmer
According to Ukrinform, Zelensky reported this on Facebook.
He recalled that Ukraine had proposed a ceasefire during the Easter holidays and expects the United States to support it.
"Ukraine is making every effort to make diplomacy work. However, on the Russian side, we see no willingness whatsoever. The only thing that can change their approach is pressure and determination from partners, as well as the resilience of our warriors," he said.
Zelensky informed the British Prime Minister about the situation on the front line, emphasizing in particular that the positions of Ukraine's Defense Forces have become significantly stronger. He also highlighted meetings of the Ukrainian delegation in the Middle East and the Gulf region, as well as agreements reached there to enhance the protection of lives.
"Ukraine's experience and expertise must be expanded throughout Europe—this is our shared security guarantee. And we are ready to work with our European partners to protect our people together," Zelensky stated.
As Ukrinform reported, Zelensky recently expressed hope that a trilateral meeting in the Ukraine–U.S.–Russia format could take place in the coming weeks.
