Ukrainian team heading to UAE for talks – Zelensky

President Volodymyr Zelensky told Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre in a phone call that the Ukrainian delegation is traveling to the UAE for meetings with both American and Russian representatives.

The Office of the President reported this, as cited by Ukrinform.

Zelensky briefed Støre on his recent meeting with Donald Trump in Davos, diplomatic plans for upcoming negotiations, and ongoing work on related documents.

"Our team is now heading to the Emirates for meetings with both the American and Russian sides. We’ll see how it goes and then determine the next steps," Zelensky said.

The leaders also discussed the outcomes of the World Economic Forum in Davos. The Ukrainian President emphasized that Europe must become stronger and work together more closely.

Zelensky and Støre also focused on the situation in Ukraine and the needs for protecting civilians. The president thanked Norway for its support, especially in the energy sector.

As previously reported, Norway has recently delivered a significant number of missiles to Ukraine for the NASAMS air defense systems.
