Trump accuses Minnesota authorities of obstructing deportations and fraud
He stated this on his social network Truth Social, Ukrinform reports.
"ICE is removing some of the most violent criminals in the World from our Country, and bring them back home, where they belong. Why is Minnesota fighting this?" Trump wrote.
According to him, violent protests against ICE actions in the state are being organized by "professional agitators and anarchists," and the local authorities allegedly do not object because this distracts attention from their large-scale financial abuses.
Trump also accused Minnesota Governor Tim Walz and the state's congresswoman Ilhan Omar, who is of Somali origin, of alleged involvement in $18 billion fraud. In addition, the president once again spread unproven claims about the personal life of the state legislator.
"The crooked governor and 'Congresswoman' Omar, who married her brother, don't mind because it keeps the focus of attention off the 18 Billion Dollars, Plus, FRAUD that has taken place in the state," he wrote.
He added: "Don't worry, we're on it."
As reported, protests against the actions of the immigration service continue in Minneapolis; a woman was killed and a Venezuelan immigrant was injured during them.
