Zelensky decides on candidates for head of SBGS position
Zelensky reported this on Telegram following a meeting with Ukraine’s Minister of Internal Affairs Ihor Klymenko, according to Ukrinform.
"Together with Ihor Klymenko, we identified candidates for appointment as a new Head of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine. The appointment will take place shortly," he wrote.
Zelensky noted that the meeting with the Interior Minister also addressed the further development of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine.
"It is important that border guard warriors, together with all other components of the Defense and Security Forces of Ukraine, are successfully carrying out combat missions," he emphasized.
Zelensky also said that the minister reported on the current security situation in the regions and on the elimination of the consequences of Russian strikes. According to the head of state, the State Emergency Service of Ukraine is operating effectively.
As Ukrinform previously reported, former head of the State Border Guard Service Serhii Deineko was appointed as an adviser to the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, and after a short period of rehabilitation he will also be appointed commander of a combat unit of the Border Guard Service.
