Stubb: Part of peace agreement may be unfair to Ukraine
According to Ukrinform, Finnish President Alexander Stubb said this in his New Year's address, Yle reports.
According to Stubb, efforts to achieve peace must continue, as Russia has been waging an aggressive war for almost four years.
He noted that peace is now closer than ever, but called for preparedness for the fact that “not all points of the peace agreement [between Ukraine and Russia] will be in line with the spirit of justice.”
“However, we will do everything possible to ensure the preservation of Ukraine's independence, sovereignty, and territorial integrity,” Stubb said.
He called on people to see the world as it is, not as we would like it to be. Stubb also stressed that Finland's relations with Russia have changed forever, and relations with the US are now changing.
As reported by Ukrinform, Volodymyr Zelensky said that the talks with Donald Trump in Florida had yielded significant achievements.
US President Donald Trump announced significant progress in negotiations to end the war after meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on Sunday at the Mar-a-Lago residence in Florida.
