Umerov discussed with Qatari PM return of Ukrainian children taken by Russia

“The main focus is on the return of Ukrainian children illegally taken by Russia from the occupied territories. Qatar remains one of the key partners in this area,” Umerov emphasized.
He also thanked Qatar for its active humanitarian, financial, and medical support to Ukraine, stressing that this support is an important contribution to the struggle for the restoration of justice and assistance to victims.
“It is thanks to Doha's mediating role that progress has been made in processes that many considered hopeless,” the NSDC secretary added.
According to him, the return of children is not only a humanitarian issue, but also a matter of national honor for Ukraine.
“The main thing now is to focus on what has no political compromises: protecting children and fighting the criminal practices of the Russian Federation,” he concluded.
As reported by Ukrinform, Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Rustem Umerov held meetings with senior Turkish officials, during which he discussed prisoner exchanges and cooperation in the defense sector.
