Trump says US 'can't give all of our weapons to Ukraine'

U.S. President Donald Trump has said that the United States cannot give Ukraine all the weapons that Kyiv wants, as the country needs them for its own defense.

He said this in an interview with Fox News, according to Ukrinform.

"You know, we can't give all of our weapons to Ukraine. We just can't do that. And I've been very good to President Zelensky and to Ukraine, but we can't we can't give, you know, if we're going to be short. I don't want to do that. I can't jeopardize the United States," Trump said.

When asked whether he believes Russian leader Vladimir Putin is open to ending the war without seizing a significant part of Ukraine's territory, Trump replied: "Well, he's going to take something. I mean they fought and he has a lot of property. I mean you know he's won certain property."

As reported earlier, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said that during their meeting in Washington on October 17, Trump did not say "no"” to transferring Tomahawk missiles to Ukraine, though he did not say "yes" either.
