Zelensky, Rutte discuss expansion of PURL program

Zelensky said this in a post on the Telegram messaging app, according to Ukrinform.

"I spoke with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte and thanked him for all the support. I shared details of today's vile Russian strike – attack drones, missiles, including ballistic ones," he said.

Zelensky added that they also discussed the PURL initiative.

"It is already moving forward well. We talked about how to expand it further, how to strengthen its content, and the involvement of other countries," Zelensky said.

He noted that this initiative helps Ukraine purchase precisely the weapons that protect people's lives.

On the night of September 27-28, Russia launched nearly 500 attack drones and more than 40 missiles, including Kinzhal hypersonic missiles, against Ukrainian cities. Four people were killed in Kyiv, and at least 40 were injured nationwide.
