The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has fulfilled all the necessary requirements to launch negotiations on Ukraine’s Euro-Atlantic integration, Speaker Ruslan Stefanchuk announced during the Yalta European Strategy (YES) meeting in Kyiv.

According to Ukrinform, Stefanchuk posted the statement on his official Facebook page.

“I took part in the annual YES conference in Kyiv—a vital platform for dialogue between Ukraine and its international partners,” he wrote.

During the panel discussion titled “Reforms, Corruption, and Euro-Atlantic Integration,” Stefanchuk emphasized that “even in wartime, Ukraine continues to adopt essential legislative changes, as these are what pave the way to the EU and NATO.”

He stated that the Verkhovna Rada has met all the prerequisites for launching negotiations and is actively working on new initiatives—from digitalization and transparent regulation to the implementation of the Anti-Corruption Strategy.

“European integration is not a slogan for us—it’s a strategic choice. We are fully prepared to open the first negotiation cluster, ‘Fundamentals of the EU Accession Process,’ and have submitted position papers across all relevant areas,” Stefanchuk reported.

The speaker stressed, “Ukrainians have proven they can tackle the most difficult challenges. And we will continue doing so together with our European partners to bring closer a just peace and secure Ukraine’s membership in both the EU and NATO.”
