Russia is demonstrating its betrayal of its “partners” and its failure to fulfill its promises to Armenia, Syria, and Iran. This underscores a systemic crisis of confidence in Russia as a partner—it is perceived as a “toxic player.”

This was stated in an interview with Ukrinform by Naryman Dzhelialov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to Turkey.

"The Kremlin is demonstrating its inability to fulfill even its own obligations. The examples of the countries mentioned [Armenia, Syria, Iran] only underscore the systemic crisis of confidence in Russia as a partner. Instead of a guarantor of security, it is increasingly perceived as a toxic player whose actions are based solely on its own short-term interests, without any commitments or principles," Dzhelialov said.

According to him, Moscow's actions are leading to the destruction of Russia's reputation in the region, the weakening of its political influence, and the reformatting of alliances.

“Countries that were previously forced to reckon with Moscow are now looking for new partners — more predictable, reliable, and stronger ones. In the strategic perspective, this means further isolation of Russia and the loss of leverage over regional processes,” the Ukrainian ambassador to Turkey emphasized.

Dzhelialov is convinced that by actively advocating the reformatting, and in fact the destruction, of the existing stable system of international relations, Russia, through its own unhealthy behavior - aggression and unwillingness to compromise - is becoming a victim of this process.

As reported by Ukrinform, the newly appointed Ukrainian Ambassador Naryman Dzhelialov presented his credentials to Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
